The Shetland and Gotland sheep that produce this beautiful wool are lovingly raised on the rolling hills of Devon. Their fleece is spun at a family owned mill in Wales.
The Shetland lends a soft, warm and characterful handle, while the Gotland adds a natural lustre. The result is a lofty yarn that feels light and airy yet remains wonderfully cosy and insulating, perfect for your autumn and winter knitting projects.
Each skein reflects the care, craft, and heritage of small scale British wool production. 100% traceable from flock to finished yarn.
Available in 4ply (knits likes a sport) and DK weight (knits like a worsted)
Sample shown is the Gro Hat by Fiber Tales
100g of 4ply/Sport approx 300m.
100g of DK/Worsted approx 215m.
Care Instructions
Hand wash in cool water using a suitable wool detergent is recommended. A little colour may bleed during the first wash which is perfectly natural and a feature of natural dying.
I have taken photos in natural light and colours are as accurate as possible but bear in mind that screens may vary.
I’m always happy to dye to order so if there’s anything you can’t see then please get in touch.
