About Us
Hello! I’m Kerry, the hands and heart behind Ginger Pink Yarns, based in the creative town of Frome, Somerset. Originally from the beautiful Cornish coast, I studied at Falmouth Art College (quite a while ago now!) and have always been inspired by the natural world.

My passion for natural dyeing has grown from a love of nature and the changing seasons. I work with British breed wool and use plants that I forage locally or grow in my garden, think goldenrod, rhubarb root, walnuts, and dock. These give rise to a gorgeous palette of seasonal colours that blend beautifully together.
What I love most about working with natural dyes is not just the stunning, earthy tones they create, but the gentler impact they have on the planet. As Ginger Pink Yarns grows, I’m always looking for new ways to keep things sustainable, whether that’s sourcing local materials or reusing water in the dyeing process.
This year, I’m excited to experiment with some new plants and dye techniques, while still leaning on my tried-and-true favourites. I can’t wait to share the fresh colourways I’ve been working on!
